AXA XL partners with Give Me Trees Trust organization to build ARANYA – Our own biodiversity park to plant nearly 30,000 trees over 15 acres of wasteland near Chattarpur, Delhi. The complete process will be 100% organic in nature using modern Miyawaki style methods with 0% pesticide usage to grow a dense forest. The selection of trees to be planted is given due consideration such that it attracts diverse species of flora and fauna to encourage complete biodiversity. In the next 3 years, PROJECT ARANYA envisions to become a self-sustaining natural habitat with a projection of releasing 2,400,000 kilograms of Oxygen per year.
Considering the importance of natural sustainability for all life forms, PROJECT ARANYA will focus on working towards a greener future. The biodiversity park will help in functioning of the ecosystems where each species, no matter how small has an important role to play and establish equilibrium in the ecosystem since it will adjust the climatic disturbances providing resilience to the climate at large. They say that “The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second-best time is NOW”. Project ARANYA aims to utilize the full potential of NOW.
Any donation made to Give Me Trees Trust Organization towards ARANYA will be eligible for tax exemption U/S 80G (5) (vi) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
